if you notice very well,check your memorycard or phone memory.you will see a folder with this name "whatsapp".
the reason for that is because whatsapp has a default function of auto-downloading of files.whenever your friends on whatsapp share a picture,application,video,music whatsapp will automatically save it to your memorycard even if you dont save it by yourself.
if you want to cancel this,enter your whatsapp,go to "settings" then select "chat settings".you will see "media auto download" under it,you will see some option,then change all the option to "No media".thats all and you are free from automatic files downloading from whatsapp
